11 Days :Paro -Thimpu - Punakha - Bumthang - Paro
Paro valley is one of the most populated areas of the whole country. The valley of Paro contains a wealth of attractions and requires a few days to be properly explored. Casting a shadow across the town of Paro is the elegant and perfectly symmetrical Rinpung Dzong. Built in 1646 by Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal, the first spiritual and temporal ruler of Bhutan. Eighteen kms from Paro town on the south side of the valley are the burnt ruins of Drugyel Dzong (victorious fortress). It was from this monastery that the Bhutanese repelled several invading Tibetan armies during the 17th century.
Day 01 : Arrive Paro - Thimpu
On arrival at Paro airport, immigration and custom formalities and then received by our representative and drive to Thimphu capital of Bhutan. On arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02 : In Thimpu
After breakfast city tour of Thimpu visiting Thimpu valley form BBs tower, Mini Zoo, Anim ratshang ( nunnery),National Library and paper factory, Memorial Chorten. and Dzong),School of art and Craft (former painting school 2-4 P.M ),Zangthopelrie, Lhakhang,Handicrafts Emporium and Tashichodzong. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 03 : Thimpu - Punakha
After breakfast drive to Punakha enroute visiting Dochula pass(alt 150m).On arrival check-in at hotel . Afternoon visit Punakha Dzong and stroll in the punakha town or to Khuruthang High school. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 04 : Punakha - Bumthang
After breakfast depart by surface to Bumthang, enroute visiting Wangduephodrang Dzong and cross pelela pass(3330M)visit the Drukgyel Dzong. Also visit en route Chendbji chorten and Trongsa Dzong. On arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 05 : In Bumthang
After breakfast visit Tamshing Lhakhang, the treasure house of interesting religious Buddhist paintings. Then visit, Jakar Dzong, the administrative centre of the valley. Afternoon visit Kurje Lhakhang, one of the most sacred places. Later visit Jambay Lhakhang, the ancient monastery dating from the introduction of Buddhism in the country. Evening visit local shops. Jampa Lhakhang,Kurje Lhakhanf.visit to town and local market. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 06 : In Bumthang
After breakfast excursion to Ura is 48 km, about one and a half hour drive. To reach here, the road climbs to amazingly open countryside, only occasionally running into forest. Large sheep pastures line the road up to 20 km behind the southern tip of the Tang valley. The route crosses Ura la pass (3,600m) with a magnificent view of Mount. Gangkhar Puensum. Villages in Ura have clustered houses, which is quite unusual in Bhutan. Above Ura village (3,100m) is a new temple dedicated to Guru Rinpoche. Inaugurated in 1986, it contains a huge statue of the master and remarkable paintings of the cycle of his teachings. Since last 25 years Ura has been transformed from a marginal community to prosperous valley. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 07 : Bumthang - Punakha
After breakfast drive to Punakha enroute visiting Wangdi .On arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel .
Day 08 : Punakha - Paro
After breakfast Sightseeing at Punakha Dzong. Later depart by surface to Paro.On arrival check-in at Hotel. Rest of the day stroll in paro town. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 09 : In Paro
Full day visit the Drukgyel Dzong. On the way, view peak of Mr.Jhomolhari(7,314) m covered with snow throughout the year.Later Also visit Kzichu Lhakhang visit national museum . If time permits visit/hike to Takshang monastery. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 10 : In Paro
Full day excursion to Haa valley. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 11 : Depart Paro
In transfer to airport to board flight for onward destination.
