Chennai - Mahabalipuram - Kanchipuram - Tanjore - Trichy - Madurai - Ramesharam - Trivandrum
It appears as if the gold pieces are spread all over the city and that is the place of temples many of them are of lord Vishnu. Kanchipuram (Means a city of gold) is shining in south and attracts tourists with temples and hand made sarees. Move in to Mysore a place made and nurtured by brave king Tipu Sultan (the inventor of Rockets). Periyar is famous for elephants. Tanjore is a center of attraction for “Tanchhoi: silk sarees.
Day 1 : Arrive Chennai
You will be met and assisted at the airport or station on arrival. Transfer to your hotel. Relax for the day. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 2 : Chennai - Tirupati (140 kms / 03 hrs)
Breakfast at hotel then depart by surface to Tirupati. Tirupati - A temple and pilgrim town. On arrival, check in at hotel. In the afternoon proceed for Darshan of LORD BALAJI. Overnight at hotel.
Day 3 : Tirupati - Chennai (140 kms / 03 hrs)
Breakfast at htoel then proceed for Chennai. On arrivl check in at hotel
. Relax in the evening. Overnight at hotel.
Day 4 : Chennai - Mahabalipuram (58 kms / 01 hrs)
Breakfast at hotel. Proceed for Mahabalipuram by surface. On arrival, check in at hotel. In the afternoon sight seeing of Mahabalipuram - famous for the seven pagodas. Overnight at the hotel.
Day 5 : In Mahabalipuram
After breakfast, proceed for morning sight seeing. Overnight at hotel.
Day 6 : Mahabalipuram - Tanjore ( 309 kms / 07 hrs)
Breakfast at hotel. Leave for Tanjore. Reach and relax at hotel. Afternoon proceed for sight seeing of Tanjore. Overnight at hotel.
Day 7 : Tanjore - Trichy - Tanjore
Full Day excursion of Trichy. Visit the ancient temples dedicated to Lord Ganapathi, 434 steps cut out into the rock side and interspersed with shrines, lead to the temple. Return to hotel. Overnight at otel.
Day 8 : In Tanjore
Breakfast at hotel. Then visit the beautiful Chola temple of Brihadeeshwara. Relax in the evening. Overnight at hotel.
Day 9 : Tanjore - Karaikudi - Madurai (183 kms /04 hrs)
Morninng depart for Madurai by surface and en route visit Karaikudi (Chettinad). On arrival, transfer to hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 10 : In Madurai
Breakfast at hotel. Then visit the famous Madurai Meenakshi temple (dedicated to the consort of Lord Shiva with its towering GOPURAMS) .Watch the evening AARTI at Meenakshi Temple - THE HIGHLIGHT OF THE TOUR. Overnight at hotel.
Day 11 : Madurai - Rameshwaram - Madurai
Breakfast at hotel. Full day excursion to Rameshwaram, a city of swell and gentle sand dunes, embellished with the delicacy of casurina trees and stark palms. Return to Madurai by evening. Overnight at hotel.
Day 12 : Madurai - Trivandrum(264 Kms / 06 hrs)
Breakfast at hotel. Leave for Trivandrum by surface and reach late evening. On arrival check in at hotel. Overnight at hotel.
Day 13 : In Trivandrum
Breakfast at hotel. Morning visiting the Sree Padmanabha Swami Temple, Napier Museum, Chitralayam Arts Gallery, Zoological gardens, Reptile house, Observatory and Kanakakunnu Palace. Overnight at hotel.
Day 14 : Depart Trivandrum
In time trnasfer to airport to board flight for onward destination.
