11 Days : Bodhgaya - Rajgir & Nalanda - Bodhgaya - Varanasi - Kushinagar – Lumbini - Sravasti - Lucknow - Sankassia - Agra - Delhi.
Since ancient past India has had an unbroken tradition of being the fountainhead of spiritual knowledge in the world. Lord Buddha is a prominent link in the chain of Spiritual master incarnates who were born in India to reveal the secrets of the inner realms of mind and soul. He taught how to merge the individual soul with the universal soul and thus attain nirvana and end the cycle of birth, rebirth and suffering.
DAY 01 : Arrivel Bodhgaya
On arrival, meeting & assistance and transfer to Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 02 : In Bodhgaya
Early morning visit the Mahabodhi Temple for the prayers and meditate near the Bodhi Tree. Return to your Hotel for breakfast. Later visit the Sri Lankan monastery. Later in the day visit the village of Sujata, which is where a woman with the same name gave Lord Buddha his first meal ( milk & rice pudding ) after he came out of the austerities he was performing and broke his fast. Visit the Mahabodhi temple for the evening prayers too. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 03 : Bodhgaya - Rajgir - Nalanda - Bodhgaya
After breakfast excursion to the famous ancient university of Nalanda, which produced great masters like Guru Padmasambhava and then after a short drive visit Rajgir, where exists the Vultures Peak or Giridhrakoot. Visit the Japanese Shanti Stupa in Rajgir. Return to Bodhgaya. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 04 : Bodhgaya - Varanasi
After breakfast depart by surface to Varanasi. En route visit Sarnath, where you can visit a museum which has artifacts from 300 - 400 BC and then you can visit the Dhammek Stupa and finally attend the evening prayers at the Sri Lankan Temple. After visit continue drive to Varanasi. On arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 05 : Varanasi - Kushinagar
Early morning visit the sacred river Ganges before sunrise, to see how the Hindus of Varanasi pray to the rising Sun and then pray to the river Ganges. Enjoy a boat ride on the Ganges and see the cremation grounds from the boat. Return to your Hotel for breakfast. Later visit the Golden Temple, Bharat Mata Temple and Birla ( Shiva ) Temple. Later depart by surface to Kushinagar. On arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 06 : Kushinagar - Lumbini
After breakfast proceed for the sacred sites in Kushinagar. Pray at the Mahaparnirvana Temple. Later depart by surface to Lumbini. On arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 07 : Lumbini - Sravasti
After breakfast visit the birth place of Lumbini. Later depart by surface to Sravasti enroute visit the sacred site Kapilvastu. On arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 08 : Sravasti - Lucknow
After breakfast visit Sahet Mahet. Later depart by surface to Lucknow. On arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 09 : Lucknow - Sankassi - Agra
After breakfast depart by surface to Agra via Sankassia , a place where Buddha along with Brahma & Devraj Indra descended after giving sermons to his mother in heaven. At the spot of descent stands a temple with a statue of the Buddha. On arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 10 : Agra - Delhi
After breakfast city tour visiting Taj Mahal, built by the Moghul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Besides the Taj, the Agra Fort (also called the Red Fort) makes an interesting sight. Other major attractions include the tomb of Akbar’s tomb at Sikandra, Rambagh, the Mughal Garden and Dayal Bagh Temple, Itmad Ud Dauula. Besides the historical monuments, one can also explore Agra Handicraft. Later depart by surface to Delhi. On arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
DAY 11 : Depart Delhi
After a leisurely breakfast sightseeing tour of New Delhi where ornate buildings recall the days when India was the Jewel in the crown of the British empire. Visit the 11th century Qutab Minar ,India Gate and the grand government buildings, the President’s House , Red fort, Mahatama Gandhi Memorial, also visit Laxmi Narayan temple popularly known as Birla Temple. In time transfer to airport to board flight for onward destination.
