07Days: Delhi - Agra - Jaipur - Amritsar
Thousands of stories can be told about the beauty of the Taj Mahal, each time a new but nothing keeps you at bay from the attraction of this grand marble magnet. Feel the life in its stone during the tour and move on to the pink city Jaipur, enjoy the thrill of its crowded markets full of shoppers and tourists. Amritsar again calls the tourists for pilgrimage at Golden Temple.
Day 01 : Arrival Delhi
Garlanding on arrival, meeting and assistance at the airport & transfer to Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 02 : In Delhi
After breakfast proceed for sightseeing tour of New Delhi where ornate buildings recall the days when India was the Jewel in the crown of the British empire. Visit the 11th century Qutab Minar, India Gate and the grand government buildings, the President’s House, Mahatma Gandhi Memorial. Also visit Laxmi Narayan temple popularly known as Birla Temple. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 03 : Delhi - Agra - Fatehpur Sikri - Jaipur
Early morning transfer to railway station to board the train for Agra , Arrive Agra & proceed to city tour visiting Taj Mahal (Closed on Friday), built by the Mogul Emperor Shahjehan in 1630 for his queen Mumtaz Mahal to enshrine her mortal remains. Besides the Taj, the Agra Fort (also called the Red Fort) makes an interesting sight. Other major attractions include the tomb of Akbar ’s tomb at Sikandra, Rambagh, the Mughal Garden and Dayal Bagh Temple, Itmad Ud Dauula. Besides the historical monuments, one can also explore Agra ’s Handicraft. Afternoon drive to Jaipur en route visiting Fatehpur Sikri- a perfectly preserved red sandstone ghost town which was the estranged capital of Mughal emperor Akbar, built in 1569 and deserted when its water supply failed. On arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 04 : Jaipur - Delhi
Morning excursion to Amer Fort with Elephant ride- Amber is located at a distance of 11 kilometers from Jaipur and was the old fort of the Kachhwaha clan of Amber, which used to be the capital, till it was moved to Jaipur. The fort is built with white marble and red sandstone and looks even more attractive because of the Maota Lake in the foreground. The fort in itself is a beautiful sight to behold but as one looks on the fort with its clear reflection on the lake in the front, one cannot help but wonder if it is a dream or a beautiful illusion.
Afternoon city tour visiting City Palace , the former royal residence built in a blend of the Rajasthani and Mughal styles. Jantar Mantar is the largest of the five observatories built by Sawai Jai Singh. The Hawa Mahal or the Palace of Winds was constructed for the royal ladies to watch the royal processions without being seen. Amber Fort, situated just outside the city, is perhaps the most beautiful example of Rajasthani forts and gives a grand view of the city down below. Other attractions include the Jaigarh Fort, Birla Mandir, and Sisodia Rani Ka Bagh.
Evening transfer to railway station to board air conditioned train for Delhi, Arrive Delhi & transfer to Hotel .Overnight at Hotel
Day 05 : Delhi - Amritsar
Early morning transfer to railway station to board super fast air-conditioned train for Amritsar (Breakfast on board). On arrival transfer to Hotel. Evening visit Wagha Border to watch Border Retreat Ceremony The pageant of the beating of the retreat and the change of guard within handshaking distance of the Indian and Pakistani forces here makes the most charming of the spectacles as a daily evening drill. Ascertain the timings before you leave to see this spectacle since these are changed seasonally. Wagha is the only land border open between Pakistan and India. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 06 : Amritsar- Delhi
Morning city tour visiting Golden temple which is located in the heart of the city . The Jalianwallah Bagh which is a memorial of the martyrs of the 1919. The Durgiana Mandir that is dedicated to the Hindu goddess Durga & Baba Atal Rai Tower . Afternoon transfer to railway station to board train for Delhi. On arrival meeting & assistance and transfer to Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 07: Depart Delhi
In time transfer to airport to board flight for onward destination.
