Dalhousie
(2039 m) established in 1854 by the British Governor General Lord dalhousie, is today a little hill station that still retains much of its charm. It is easily accessible from the plains. Pathankot, the nearest railhead is 90 km away and luxury coaches, buses and taxis take visitors up to this unspoilt hill station. Built around five hills, Dalhousie is clothed in stately groves of deodhar and oak. It's marvellous forest trails overlook vistas of wooded hills, waterfalls, spring & rivulets. There are also magnificent views of the Chamba Valley and the mighty Dhauladhar range with its awe-inspiring snow covered peaks filling the entire horizon.
Khajjiar-
A small picturesque saucer-shaped plateau surrounded by dense pine and deodar forests, is one of the 160 places throughout the world to have been designated Mini Switzerland. Yes, this is Khajjiar, a tiny tourist resort in Chamba about 24 kms from Dalhousie; at an altitude of 6,500 ft. above sea level. The moment one enters the picturesque Khajjiar, one is welcomed by a yellow Swiss sign for hiking path which reads “Mini Switzerland.
Chamba
is strewn with intricately carved temples topped by spires in the shikhara style. The shrines are dedicated to Shiva and Vishnu. The 10th and 11th century temples of Laxmi Narayan and Hari Rai are particularly ornate and popular with pilgrims and sightseers alike.
Day 01 : Arrive Delhi
On arrival at Delhi airport meeting & assistance and transfer to railway station to board Overnight train to Pathankot. Overnight on board.
Day 02 : Arrive Pathankot - Dalhousie
On arrival at Pathankot railway station straight drive to Dalhousie. On arrival check in at Hotel. Rest of the day at leisure to explore the surroundings. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 03 : In Dalhousie
Morning visit the Dalhousie town. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 04 : Dalhousie - Chamba
Morning depart by surface to Chamba. On arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 05 : In Chamba
Morning visit the Dalhousie town. Afternoon at leisure. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 06 : Chamba - Pathankot
Morning depart by surface to Pathankot railway station to board train for onward destination.
