Sites and Temples:
The ancient Bagnath tample is Situated in the heart of the town. The temple is dedicated to the Lord Shiva and it is flooded with devotees on the occasion of Shivratri. Bagnath is cluster of temples and some of them have very significance among the devotees such as the Bhairav temple, Dattatrey Maharaj, Ganga Mai temple, Hanuman temple, Durga temple, Kalika temple, Thingal Bhairav temple, Panchnam Junakhara and the Vaneswar temple.
This beautiful temple dedicated to Goddess Chandika(an incarnation of goddess Durga)standson the top of a rock at a distance of about five hundred mts.from Bageshwar. Every Year sacrifice and woship is offered to the deity during the Navratras.
As the name suggest this place is a cave ,a large cave, measuring approxmatiely 20 x 95 sq. mts. is situated at a distance of 8 kms. from Bageswar. This place is dedicated to Lord Shiva.
Shri Haru Temple
The Shri Haru temple, is situated at a distance of about 5 kms. from Bageswar. It is said that prayers for wish fulfilment here never go in vain if they are done with good faith. Tota Shiv Temple: There is a big temple of Lord Shiva situated near Saneti. It is believed that this temple was built by Pandavas. Surprisingly, there is no Shivling in this temple and no 'puja' or worship done here.

Uttaraini Fair: This fair is organized every year, at the time of 'Makar Sankranti', in Bageshwar around the Bagnath temple complex. One of the major fairs of the Kumaon region, Uttarani has mythical, religious, cultural, commercial as well as historical significance.
Nanda Devi Fair: There is an interesting piece of legend attached to the origin of this fair. It is said that during British rule the commissioner of Kumaon, Mr. Trail suffered some ailment in this eyes. He got the deity’s (Nanda Devi) statue shifted from Malla Mahal to Udyot Chandeshwar temple and prayed to the goddess. After doing this, the ailment in his eyes was healed. In honour of the goddess, the Chandeshwar temple was then renamed as the Nanda Devi temple and the fair organized for the first time .
