History
Dahod is a city as well as a municipality situated in the Dahod district in the state of Gujarat in western India. It is at a distance of 200 kms from Ahmedabad and 150 kms from Vadodara. The city of Dahod is home to the famous Aurangzeb fort. Experience India with Indian Travel Agent.The Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, was born in Dahod in 1618. History recalls that Tatya tope, the well-known freedom fighter, came to this city during the freedom fighting movement. He is believed to have lived his last days in this region.
Dahod town has many educational institutions, namely the Government Engineering College, the Navjivan Science and Commerce College, the Government Polytechnic, the Chhotalal Jadhavji Nutan Prathmik Shala, the M.Y.
