Gandhinagar

Situated on the western banks of the Sabarmati River, Gandhinagar District covers an area of 649 sq km. It was named in memory of Gandhiji (Father of the Nation). The city Gandhinagar is considered as the second planned city in India, and is the capital of Gujarat. Its architectural style is highly influenced by the work of Le Corbusier (French architect), who designed Chandigarh.
