Idukki

Cheeyappara Waterfalls
Cheeyappara Waterfalls : The Cheeyappara and Valara waterfalls are located between Neriamangalam and Adimali on the Kochi - Madurai highway. The Cheeyappara Falls cascades down in seven steps. Vagamon Hill Station (Wagamon)

Munnar Hill Station
Munnar, was the most popular summer resorts during the British reign and is still a very well known hill station. Located at an altitude of 1800m above sea level, this 'Kashmir of the East' is the first hill resort in the State.

The chilly climate here is ideal for cultivating tea. It is home to one of the biggest tea plantations in the world- the Kannan Devan Tea Plantations. Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary
Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary is 60Kms away from Devikulam. Located in the rain shadow region of the Western Ghats, the sanctuary occupies the forested region on either side of the Marayoor - Udumalped road.

Iravikkulam National Park :
Iravikkulam National Park spread over 97sq.kms with Barren hills, meadows, rock rafts and wild animals will fascinate any one.

Mangaladevi Temple

Sri Krishnaswamy Temple :- The temple dedicated to Lord Krishna was built by the king of Keezhmalainad who ruled from Karikodu.

Annamalai Temple :
3 km from the centre of Thodupuzha is the Annamalai Temple which is around 1800 years old. The temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is fortunately one of those temples that remain in their original form, devoid of any destruction. Idukki Arch Dam :
The Idukki Arch Dam is the second Arch Dam of the world while it is first for the continent of Asia. It rises to a height of 550 ft. high and extends to and width of 650 ft.

Idukki Wildlife Sanctuary :
Idukki Wildlife Sanctuary is close to the Idukki Arch Dam and covers a part of the Thodupuzha and Udumpanchola taluks of Idukki district The animals that can be sighted here include Elephants, Deers, Bears, Wild Pigs, Tigers and Leopards. Sanctuary Watch Towers :
There are three watch towers for observing wild life - at Edappalayam and Manakkavala and Thannikudi. Reservations can be made at the Forest Information Counter, Thekkady.

Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary :
One of the well known wildlife sanctuaries in the south, Periyar Sanctuary attracts a large number of nature lovers every year. Also called the Thekkady Wildlife Sanctuary, this place is ideal for watching the animals in their natural habitat.

Mangla Devi Temple :
