Jabalpur

Located on the banks of the sacred Narmada River and surrounded by rocky hills is the tranquil city ofJabalpur Jabalpur. Tourist Attractions of Jabalpur
• Madan Mahal Fort: Built by the Gond ruker, Raja Madan Singh in 1116, the fort offers a spectacular view of the countryside. The fort evokes austere style lacking in ostentation.
• Sangram Sagar: Sangram Shah, the Gond ruler built it between 1480 and1540. The Sangram Sagar Lake is home to the red crested pochards, coots, and pin-tailed ducks from central western Asia.
• Rani Durgavati Museum: It offers an insight into the life and times of Queen Durgavati. The museum preserves a collection of sculptures, inscriptions, relics, artifacts and curios and photos of Mahatma Gandhi.
