Religious places
The Augharnath Temple located near Westend Road is one of the oldest temples dedicated to Lord Shiva in the city. In the past, freedom fighters used to pray here before embarking towards the battlefield and hence it is called ‘Kali Paltan.’ The Dev Temple located at Modipuram Roorkee Road is a very beautiful place in outer Meerut.
