Subarnapur
Subarnapur (or Sonepur) was carved out from the undivided Bolangir District and started functioning w.e.f.1.4.1993. Sonepur, the district head quarter is situated on the confluence of river "The Mahanadi" and "The Tel". Geographically it is located on the western part of Orissa.
