8 Days: Delhi - Rishikesh - Joshimath - Govindghat - Ghangaria
Nothing is too much when you compare it with the splendid Valley of Flowers. Tucked away in a remote corner of the majestic Himalayas, the Valley is sure to spell bound you. package that starts from Delhi and will take you through virgin country up to the Valley along with a trip to Hemkund Sahib.
Hemkund Sahib :
This sacred Sikh shrine is situated on the foot of the Hemkunt Lake (4320 mtrs). It marks the place where Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth and last Guru, unified with Goa after prolonged meditation in his previous birth.
Badrinath :
Situated in the lap of Nar - Narayan Parvat, with the towering Neelkanth peak (6597 mt) in the background, Badrinath is one of the most revered Hindu shrines of India.
Mana Village :
3 kms from Badrinath, this is the last village of India on the Indo - Tibetan border. This Village was setup by the Indo - Mongolian tribe. From there move on to visit Bheem bridge & Vyas gufa.
Day 01 : Delhi - Rishikesh (drive / 230 kms / 5-6 hrs)
Morning depart by surface to Rishikesh. On arrival check-in at Hotel . Overnight at Hotel .
Day 02 : Rishikesh - Joshimath (drive / 250 kms / 8-9 hrs)
Morning depart by surface to Joshimath (270 kms) on a mountainous road. This is a very scenic drive along the Ganga river and later by the Alaknanda river. On arrival check-in at Hotel / TRH. Overnight at the Hotel / Tourist Rest House .
Day 03 : Joshimath - Govindghat - Ghangaria (drive/18 kms/trek 13 kms/3 hrs )
Morning depart by surface to Govindghat the last motorhead. From Govindgath start trek to Ghangaria, the base camp for the Valley of Flowers. Overnight in camp.
Day 04 : Ghangaria Valley of flowers - Ghangaria (trek / 16 kms / 4 hrs)
Morning start the Trek to the Valley of Flowers, with a vast variety of flowers including the blue Poppy, pink Geraniums, blue and yellow Pansies to name a few. Afternoon trek back to the Ghangaria camp. Overnight in camp.
Day 05 : Ghangaria Hemkund Sahib - Ghangaria (trek / 16 kms / 4 hrs)
Morning start Trek to Hemkund Sahib- a famous and revered Sikh shrine. Hemkund is a bluish green lake flanked by snow covered peaks. The 5 km trek to Hemkund is a steep climb along the Laxman Ganga which emanates from Hemkund. Afternoon trek back to Ghangaria. Overnight in camp.
Day 06 : Ghangaria - Govind ghat - Joshiomath (trek/14 kms/3 hrs & drive/18 kms/1-2 hrs)
Morning trek down to Govindghat and drive to Joshimath. On arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 07 : Joshimath - Rishikesh (drive / 250 kms / 8-9 hrs)
Morning drive back to Rishikesh. On arrival check-in at Hotel. Overnight at Hotel.
Day 08 : Rishikesh - Delhi (drive / 230 kms / 6-7 hrs)
Morning transfer to Delhi airport to board flight for for onward destination.
